What is Building Commissioning?

Building Commissioning is a third-party review process done at two levels: Fundamental Commissioning and Enhanced Commissioning, intended to deliver building systems that work as designed, setting the stage for ongoing, sustained operational success of these systems. The USGBC requires commissioning as part of the certification process, including a review of the all building documentation and planning, to assure LEED requirements are met. Enhanced Commission includes additional review and verification of practices throughout the construction process.
