  • Description: KEM is currently providing the following services for this property: lead-based paint inspection services, asbestos inspection services, monitoring of abatement efforts, consultation on and direction of necessary abatement work, preparation of a lead-safe work plan, preparation of lead abatement and asbestos abatement work plan(s), risk assessment. This is a very prominent building in Washington, DC and is inhabited by many prominent residents. Extreme care must be taken in every step of the project to minimize tenant concerns and to assure that the project proceeds on schedule with all appropriate safety measures in place. KEM was engaged for this project because of our abilities in executing projects of this nature. KEM has worked with the property owner (BF Saul) to address tenant concerns, to respond to information requests from the DC DDOE and to schedule follow-on renovation work to minimize overlap with ongoing remediation activities in the building. KEM has proven to be a valuable team member in the successful planning and renovation of this historically significant building.
